Michelle deals with all aspects of family law. Her financial background means she has a great understanding of the issues surrounding financial and property matters, especially those involving companies, trusts, superannuation funds, third parties and tax issues.
Michelle worked as an accountant for many years prior to entering the legal profession and is a fellow member of The Tax Institute and an associate member of CPA Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Commercial Law) from Deakin University and during her transition to the legal profession she was a winner of the Plain English Drafting Competition in 2011, awarded by the Law Society of Western Australia. In 2016 she was awarded the Edith Cowan University Lexis Nexis Prize for Legal Research Paper.
Michelle completed a Bachelor of Laws from Edith Cowan University and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law in 2016 and was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia on 3 October 2016.
Michelle has an interest in all areas of family law and is currently enrolled in the Masters in Applied Law (Family Law and Commercial Transactions) with the College of Law and is a member of the Elder Law and Succession Planning Committee of the Law Society of Western Australia.
